Extra Rehearsal, Solo auditions, junior district and concert information
This Thursday, December 1st, there will be an extended rehearsal after school (due to early dismissal for conferences). Rehearsal attendance is mandatory. The rehearsal will be from 11:45-12:15. Students are instructed to go to their lockers after rehearsal to maximize time.
At 12:15, we will have auditions for the solo in "Sit Down you're Rocking the Boat." Auditions will go from 12:15-12:45.
From 12:45-1:00, I will work with the soprano 1 females for junior districts. Singers should bring their purchased music to this rehearsal.
Students are allowed to bring a light lunch, snack, or water if they will be staying until 1pm.
On Wednesday, December 7th, there will be a junior district rehearsal for soprano 2 females from 11:45-12:00. Singers should bring their purchased music to this rehearsal.
On Thursday, December 8th, there will be another after school rehearsal due to the conferences. It will be from 11:45-12:30. If needed, there will then be call-backs for "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat." Then, altos will rehearse for junior districts. Altos should bring their purchased music to this rehearsal.
The concert is Wednesday, December 14th at Town Hall. The concert starts at 7pm but singers should be there to warm up at 6:40. Students should wear black on bottom, white shirts, and a splash of red. Families are asked to bring a non-perishable item as we are collecting donations for the Arlington Food Pantry. There is no ticket admission to this concert.

Junior Districts for Females and Winter Concert Information
7th and 8th Grade GIRLS-
If you are interested in auditioning for junior districts, we will have a pre-audition on Thursday 10/28/11 at 2:25. Please see Mrs. Gaffny with questions.
For our winter concert at town hall, we will have a donation box for the Arlington Food Pantry. Please encourage your family members to bring an item of donation to the concert!

Thank you for committing to the program. Rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays go until 2:35 (10 minutes after regular dismissal) so please plan appointments and rides home accordingly.

Boys Chorus is an elective that is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys in the chorus program. Rehearsals are Thursdays after school from 2:30-3:00. See Mr. Condakes (gcondakes@arlington.k12.ma.us) for more information.
Select Chorus rehearses on Tuesday afternoons from 2:25-3:30. The select chorus director is Ms. Christo and her email is cchristo@arlington.k12.ma.us.
6th, 7th and 8th Grade boys and 7th and 8th grade girls who are interested in auditioning for the Northeast Junior District Festival should sign up with Mrs. Gaffny (girls) or Mr. Condakes (boys) by the end of October.Concert attire:
Girls: White, button up collared shirt or blouse. It can be long sleeve, ¾ sleeve, or short sleeve, just no sleeveless shirts. Solid black pants or skirt (no jeans). Skirts must be at the knee or below the knee in length. Skirts may not be shorter then the knee. Black shoes (no sneakers). No dresses
Boys: White button up collared shirt. It can be long sleeve or short sleeve. Solid black pants (no jeans). Black shoes (no sneakers). A red tie or bow tie.
